We recently completed an exterior woodwork restoration project at an office building in Biddestone, near Chippenham.

The existing timber had previously been coated with yacht varnish, which was no longer providing the finish or protection that the woodwork needed. The first stage of the job therefore involved thoroughly preparing the timber and removing the old finish to provide a sound surface for the new treatment.

Once the preparation was complete, we applied Sadolin Extra Durable Woodstain in Heritage Oak. This is a high-quality exterior wood treatment that provides a durable, weather-resistant finish while allowing the natural character and grain of the timber to remain visible.

The Heritage Oak colour was particularly well suited to the building, giving the woodwork a warmer and more natural appearance while providing long-lasting protection against the British weather.

As the photographs show, the work has completely refreshed the exterior timber and should help keep it looking its best for many years to come.
